We thank you for visiting our web site and hope that you are interested in the products you see here. In the future, we will have many new demo programs for your examination. Right now, check out our new WinSCAN, v2.0, DEMO program or download a free copy of a simple single-switch SS-DEMO game.
We also are now building a WinSCAN SETUP DOWNLOAD LIBRARY with custom setups for particular games, multimedia programs, CD-ROMs, and educational software. These are setups that we design or that WinSCAN users provide for us to share with others. If you have created a particularly good WinSCAN setup for a particular program, attach the file to an e-mail to us with a brief explanation and we will post it on the Web.
NOTE: These demonstration programs are available in PC versions only. They can be downloaded using a Macintosh but need to be copied to an MS-DOS formatted disk and actually run on a PC. Sorry about that.
Check out the new WinSCAN, v2.0, DEMO program by clicking below. The file you will receive is named "wsd.exe." This is a self-extracting installation program about 850kb in size. Save this file on your hard disk and run it using the RUN option under Windows Program Manager's FILE menu. The extractor will install all of the program and documentation files in a directory named c:/wsdemo. It will also create a program group called WinSCAN on your desktop containing program icons for running the demonstration and viewing a "readme.txt" file containing important information and tips. Once the installation is complete, you may delete the wsd.exe installer program.
Included in the c:/wsdemo directory is a subdirectory named wsdguide. In this subdirectory is a file named wsdemo.html. Use your browser to open this file off-line and view or print the DEMO User's Guide in full color.
Return from the preview using
your browser's BACK button.
WinSCAN setup files contain custom scanning display setups for particular games, multimedia programs, CD-ROMs, and educational software. These are setups that we design or that WinSCAN users provide for us to share with others. If you have created a particularly good WinSCAN setup for a particular program, attach the file to an e-mail to us with a brief explanation and we will post it on the Web.
Each of the following setup packages is a self-extracting ZIP file containing a setup file (a file with the suffix .ws) and a subdirectory containing graphics and a Setup Design Sheet (a file with the suffix .html) that can be opened, viewed, and printed in color using your browser. The setup files are formatted for WinSCAN 2.0 and will not work with earlier versions of the software. (Contact us for information about ordering an upgrade.) After downloading and extracting the files, use the Windows File Manager to copy the setup file itself into the c:/winscan (or c:/wsdemo) directory where your other WinSCAN files and setups are stored. Then open WinSCAN (or WinSCAN-DEMO) and try out the new setup.

Also, if you wish, you are welcome to download a free copy of the small SS-DEMO! single-switch game (updated to v2.5 on 4/25/99) that ships with SS-ACCESS PC Package. This very simple program sends a new copy of a cute animated character in a wheelchair rolling across your computer screen each time you press the ENTER key (or an external adaptive switch interfaced to simulate this keystroke). A tune will play as the character moves. This game is appropriate for young children 2 to 5 years old.
The file you will receive is named "ssdv25.exe." This is a self-extracting ZIP file about 150kb in size. Run this program to unpack and create a file called "ssdemo.exe." Run this program to enjoy the action.
